2. Gdansk, Poland
With its more than fair (in the EU standards) prices, Poland has a bunch of worthwhile destinations — but for a budget trip, we suggest to skip Krakow and Warsaw and head straight for the quiet, beautiful seaside towns up North. Sometimes referred to as “little Amsterdam”, Gdansk is full of picture-perfect spots: mixed architecture, cobblestone streets, postcard-worthy views to the Baltic Sea — all that good stuff! You will find plenty of galleries, museums, and parks to visit, and should you feel like exploring other destinations nearby, the equally charming, sea breeze complemented towns — Gdynia and Sopot — are just a few kilometers away.
