Often referred to as Little Prague, Olomouc is the perfect place to enjoy all the good this country has to offer (narrow streets, gothic towers, busy pubs, delicious heavy foods), and skip all the ugly (the tourist crowd along with the tourist prices). For such a small town, there is a surprisingly abundant cultural life here, with tons of galleries and studios to check out, and the Medieval look of the town itself is pleasantly balanced with the busy vibe introduced by thousands of students attending Olomouc university (second largest in the Czech Republic). There is something for everyone to enjoy in Olomouc!
