Getting Around Singapore
There are plenty of taxis as well as buses. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) runs throughout the entire state. Make sure you acquire a Singapore Tourist Pass to enjoy unlimited travel for some time. Expect to spend something around 4SGD when boarding the MRT. A day’s pass goes for 10SGD while a 3 day pass is 20SGD.

In general, activities in this city are not that expensive, some are even free. Some of the free activities you can do include touring the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and the Singapore Botanical Gardens.
Best of Singapore
Singapore Zoo
This zoo is among the best in the world, hands down. It covers an area of about 70 acres and has so many animals (over 3600 mammals). There is also a night safari if you are interested in visiting the zoo at night.
Eat at The Boat Quay
This is the best place to go if you are looking for entertainment and food. The most ideal place to relax and go sightseeing. Make sure you bring a camera when you visit this place to capture the beautiful scenery.
Thian Hock Temple
When in Singapore, make sure you visit this stunning Temple. It is a national monument and quite honestly, one of the most photogenic constructions in Singapore.
Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is situated inside Singapore’s only remaining rain-forest. It is the top choice ecotourism attraction site. You’ll get to see lots of animals there. Just take a 30 minute drive from the city.
Singapore Botanic Gardens
This is another great place to visit. And as we discussed earlier, it is free. This lovely Botanic Garden lies close to the city. Just take a cab and you’ll get there in less than 30 minutes. The 52 hectares garden also has forests in it. The most captivating place in the garden is the National Orchid Garden, where you get to see more than 1,000 species of orchids. There’s also a ginger garden, several streams and waterfalls that you can chose to explore.
